Stripe Perfectionist

Shirt ll bean, Jeans mango, Shoes forever 21

As I said in my last post, I have a thing for stripes. This is my latest stripe find and it still just isn't quite right! It would be perfection if it was a little longer (darn you long torso) and had long sleeves instead of 3/4. But I make it work, by adding a loose cami underneath. You gotta do what you gotta do!

Pinsperation- Stripes

Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, Image 4

I love going back to my pinterest boards and perusing the things that I have pinned. I get a sense of satisfaction as I scroll through and feel as though I am looking at me, my style and my taste. That is why pinterest is so great, you pin picture after picture, but when you actually stop and look at them all together you find a common thread between it all that is significantly you. It really is inspiring, and you may discover that you know yourself better than you think.
As I did that this morning, I discovered that I REALLY like stripes! Unconsciously I am drawn to them, their nautical, classic pattern just does something to me. And frustratingly enough, I always seem to be on a hunt for the perfect striped shirt. If I glance the black and white peeking out on a rack in a store I immediately investigate to see if I have indeed found it. However, they never seem to be just right. Either they are too short, too thin, not the right type of stripe, or have an unnecessary embellishment! So the search continues, and in the mean time, I will just be over here, staring at my pinterest!

Happy Tuesday everyone. And happy pinning!

Fresh White

Blazer kohls, Shirt tonic, Jeans current elliott, Shoes old navy, Earrings h&m, Nails essi-tart deco, Lips mac-vegas volt

When I think of spring or summer I think of white. The color I most gravitate towards besides black, this bright neutral always makes me feel fresh!

Pastel Trend

Sweater thrifted, Shirt tonic, Jeans pac sun, Shoes h&m, Bracelet zara, Nails essie-tart deco

One of the trends that I am loving this spring is
pastels. Those soft muted, pops of color that are just so cheerful! When I first think of these colors, it usually causes me to picture really feminine and dainty outfits, which is not necessarily my style. So, in order to incorporate these colors into my wardrobe, I make sure to pair them with edgier pieces. Cue ripped jeans and gold studded sandals.
For the most part, you can do this with each trend that comes out for each season. Even though it may not seem like your style, there could be ways that you can incorporate an aspect of the trend by taking a piece of it, whether it is a color or pattern and add it according to how you like to dress. And for those bolder trends, it may be simply adding it through your accessories, having a pop of color without it being the biggest statement in your outfit.
Happy Styling!

Show Them Ankle's

Shirt h&m, Jeans gap, Shoes target, Bracelet's zara, Nails essi-tart deco

When it comes to skinny jeans I love their length to hit me slightly above the ankle bone. I find it to give a sleek line to the leg and showcases whatever shoes you are wearing, especially those ankle boots.
Unfortunately not all of my pants are at this length and before I can drag my lazy butt to the seamstress, I simply roll them under to get this look.
On another note, I am stoked about these new ankle peep toe booties I scored on sale at target. Which are a much cheaper version of these. They are the spring/summer version of my favorite black ankle boot. Hallelujah!

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope this week treats you well!!

Napa Weekend: Vineyard Moment

Shirt forever 21, Vest marc new york, Jeans current elliott, Shoes thrifted, Bracelet thrifted, Lips-rimmel kate #109

On our final day in Napa we took a walk down through the vineyards and of course came across the perfect spot for a photo shoot. We were all still recovering from our food comas brought on by our dinner the night before, so a little walk and a slightly looser shirt was exactly what was needed!

Napa Weekend: Legs for Days

Blazer thrifted, Shirt ll bean, Jeans current elliott, Heels target, Bracelets thrifted

I stuck to a classic uniform for a dinner out in Napa. A skinny jean, basic top, structured blazer and a heel. I think one of my favorite parts of the outfit is the nude heels. They blend in quite nicely with my pasty ankles, creating one long line that made my legs look like they go on for days! Nothing wrong with that!
